La Rampa Photowalks are not tours, they are experiences. Designed for anyone who loves taking pictures, they open the city in a way that feels both intimate and cinematic. Whether you arrive with a camera bag or just a phone, what matters is curiosity.
Over the course of three to five hours, Rio reveals itself in layers. You will wander through markets alive with color, trace the curves of Niemeyer’s architecture and watch the light shift across the mountains and sea. Photography becomes more than documentation, it becomes a way of entering the city’s story.
Each walk reveals a different facet of Rio: the energy of samba, the quiet power of spiritual traditions, the elegance of colonial facades, the wild beauty of its beaches and gardens. Always with context, always with space to pause, observe, and create.
You can choose to arrange a walk tailored to your interests, whether that means chasing the golden light of sunrise, exploring Afro-Brazilian heritage, or focusing on Rio’s most photogenic corners. Or, if you prefer, I can guide you on a pre‑established route that introduces the city photographically, designed around the best locations for the time of day and the duration of your walk.
I will be your guide. I have called Rio home for more than twenty years and as a seasoned photographer I know how to unlock its most striking angles and hidden stories.
We move slowly, with intention. Every frame is a chance to see more deeply, to connect with people and place and to create images that carry memory as much as beauty.
Our photo walks are not just about taking photographs, it is about living them. You will leave with images that feel alive, stories that stay with you and the sense that you have seen Rio from the inside out.
It starts with a simple email. From there, we shape the walk together, bespoke or curated if you prefer. Think of it as your personal doorway into Rio, guided by a photographer who has called the city home for over twenty years.
